RAM-DON
WITH A
NEW DAY TWIST
In honor of the momentous 2020 Academy Award for Best Picture, Parasite, we decided to put our own spin on one of the quick, economical Korean comfort-foods in the film. BTW, the dish is actually called jjapaguri but was given a made-up name for subtitles combining the two varieties of noodles in the recipe, ramen and udon!
INGREDIENTS
1 package of instant Nongshim’s Chapagetti ramen noodles
1 package of instant Nongshim’s Neoguri udon noodles, spicy seafood flavor
(both available in most Asian markets)
1 handful of New Day Farms Sunflower Microgreens
3 green scallions, chopped
Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil
Add both packages of noodles and cook until just tender, 4-5 minutes
Drain noodles, reserving 1/2 cup of noodle water
Return noodles to pot over low heat and add the Chapagetti seasoning and half the packet of the Neoguri seasoning, along with several tablespoons of the reserved noodle water
Stir until blended, adding additional noodle water or a top of sunflower oil if needed
Toss in Microgreens, top with chopped scallions... and action!
