Quality Assurance & Certifications Compliance Supervisor

The QA & Certifications Compliance Supervisor will implement and manage the Company’s quality systems to ensure proper execution of products, adherence to best practices throughout the production process, achievement of ongoing customer satisfaction, and compliance with all relevant certifications and standards.


Specific Responsibilities & Duties include: 

Work jointly with the Company’s quality consultant and coordinate with greenhouse production and packaging management to:

  • Ensure that all quality assurance programs and procedures are being implemented correctly 

  • Ensure compliance to Federal, State and local regulations

  • Evaluate performance to GMP’s; Enforce plant quality standards  

  • Produce and monitor performance to SOP’s

  • Monitor, enforce and further develop the operation’s HACCP program

  • Follow all Food Safety requirements

  • Direct audit activities: train and conduct meetings regularly with audit team to educate and assure ongoing compliance 

  • Guide organization personnel through new practices and certifications; Interpret quality control system to personnel within organization; Supervise and review corrective solutions and prevent action claims

  • Lead audits; produce monthly reports on inspections and audit performance and propose improvement opportunities

  • Coordinate all testing with outside laboratories

  • Other duties as assigned


  • 3-5 years in food industry, with 1-3 years in supervision in a quality assurance lab or plant QA Department

  • Supervisory and training skills 

  • Working experience with Good Agricultural Practices/Good Handling Practices (GAP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) 

  • Knowledge of related Federal and State regulations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required  

  • Competency in computer word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheet (Excel) and Google suite (Sheets) required

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English desirable 

  • Willingness to have flexible work schedule

  • Some weekend work required

  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Postharvest Physiology, related field or equivalent experience.

Facilities Maintenance Assistant

The Facilities Maintenance Assistant will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.


  • Inspects equipment and machines to monitor status of operating condition.

  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs and works with the Operations Manager to plan, schedule and perform general repairs.

  • Performs routine maintenance on buildings and utility systems.

  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.

  • Identifies supplies and materials required for repairs and maintenance.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to follow instructions.

  • Knowledge of general carpentry, electrical and plumbing.

  • Ability to use both hand tools and power tools.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Related experience necessary.

  • Certifications in trades a plus


Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.

  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
